The project
The project aims to drive sustainable aerospace component manufacturing. By comparing Additive Manufacturing with traditional machining for high-strength aluminum alloys -leveraging Scalmalloy and laser powder bed fusion – the goal is to enhance resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Challenges related to material properties, will be addressed and comprehensive lifecycle assessments and cost management strategies will ensure economic viability.
