Community members tagged as “ACCREDITED PROVIDERS” (have been approved in the greenSME accreditation process) and “ASAP MANUFACTURER” (has completed sustainability assessment and action plan development) are elegible to establish partnerships and apply in the open call.
-
Hi,
After the Self Assessment, the Action Plan will be done by the manufacturer with the technology providers or with the support of Green SME experts (not Accredited Provider)?
Thank you!
-
Good morning,
the action plan is produced with the support of a greenSME expert (technology partner of the project consortium).
Best regards,
MESAP Innovation Cluster | greenSME project consortium
-
Thank you!
Other question: In the Call Guide, 4.2.1. Admissibility Criteria, it is sad that “Manufacturing SMEs can participate in only one application per Call”, with no reference to this limitation for the technology provider.
However, in the application form in point 31, it is this statement to mark “Have not submitted any other proposal for this first open call of GreenSME” – This means that also a technology provider can only apply once (one application with one manufacturer company)?
Thank you again!

Hi,
The guidelines say that the deadline for 1st open call is 6th September.
Could you confirm if it is August or September? Thanks!

A few questions:
1. Can a manufacturer, like a technology provider, conduct some tasks on its infrastructure, such as prototyping or testing (has labs and technical space for these purposes)? Of course manufacturer will not reimburse any costs in the project budget, but the whole process can be, simply, cheaper (than using other labs).2. Is it necessary to do those #Actions that are most relevant in ASAP or not?
3. Who is the owner of the IP Rights of all project results? This topic is a bit confusing in the manual.
4. Is the issue of NDA left to be arranged between consortium members or is it taken into account in the project documentation? I mean, should we sign such document separately?
-
Good morning,
please find below our replies:
1. A manufacturer can operate for the best conclusion of the project: this is why we give, if the project is positively evaluated, 10k Euro for them. The use of the end users’ premises is obviously allowed, if this is a solution that can optimise results and time.
However, the roles of the end user (manufacturing SME) and of the service Provider(s) should be clearly distinguished, not mixing up them. And the evaluation will also consider whether the amount envisaged for the Provider(s) is worth in relation to the proposed activity.
2. Exactly. The ASAP highlights some challenges to be tackled, and the proposal should focus on the most important ones (max 2) for the manufacturing SME.
3. The IPR ownership is decided by the applicants: this is why we ask a preliminary consortium agreement among the Parties before the project start.
4. The NDA question is related to the evaluators: we will make them sign an NDA so to assure the privacy of the data. The applicants are not involved in this process, since it will be managed by the greenSME project.
Then, if the project will be positively evaluated for the Grant, the applicants will sign a sub-grant agreement with TEKNIKER (coordinator of greenSME) where all the issues of confidentiality among the applicants and greenSME consortium will be ruled
Best regards,

5. There will be 2 transfers of lump sum to technology providers (after 3 and 6 month) and 1 transfer to manufacturer. When it will take place, after the project?
-
Good morning,
please find below our replies:
5. The first part of the lump sum will be given after the M3, and after the positive evaluation of the project. The second part will be given following the same rule: after M6, and after the positive evaluation of the project

Alright, I asked the question incorrectly… 🙂 I wanted to know only the issue of 10k for Manufacturer. When it will be delivered? After 6 month? Or it will be divaded like money for subcontractor?
-
Good morning,
the payment will be made after M6 (subject to the positive evaluation of the project).
Best regards,
MESAP Innovation Cluster – greenSME consortium

Great, thx for all answers. Probably we will send more questions 🙂

Good morning,
please refer to chapter 4 “Call #1 specification” (page 14 of 44) which states the following:
Financial Provisions
The maximum amount provided to one third-party is EUR 50 000. Each SME (both S&T provider or manufacturing) may carry out a maximum of 2 sub-projects supported by the greenSME project, and only one sub-project per call.
We remain at your disposal for further support.

I have a question concertning Annex 1 to the Application.
In Annex 1 we have to declare whether we are autonomous SME, or are partnered or linked with other entity. We understand the goal. It is most likely linked with the SME definition set in Annex I to Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014.
However in Annex 1 the wording is very simplifed in comparison to Regulation 651/2014 and there are some specific situations that make it difficult to fill.
We have a venture capital holding more thant 25%. However according to the Reg 651/2014 (art 3 point 2a) we are autonomous, because venture capital funds are mentioned as an exemption.
Should we than mark that we are autonomous?
We have already applied for different EU funds and we have been always assesed as autonomous.
Thank you in advance!

Dear greenSME,
We would like to know where to find the “company registration number” required in the Annex 1 (SME Self Declaration).
Thank you in advance.
-
Hi, since you are Italian,
the Registration number is at the beginning of your “Visura Camerale”
(REA). In general, the registration number is present in the official
registration documents of the company.<u5:p></u5:p>

-
Good afternoon,
you can submit as “autonomous”: we will make a double check on the SME status after the call deadline.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
MESAP TEAM
