A Recap of the greenSME Final Conference in Krakow

The city of Krakow, Poland, was the stage of the greenSME Final Conference: Sustainability Pathways in Manufacturing, hosted at the EU IndTech Conference

Our project took the center stage during the “Research and Innovation for Clean Industrial Deal” panel Andrzej Drozd from Prefabbricati Poland, an SME involved in the project’s OC1 “Carbon Footprint Low” initiative, shared valuable insights and real-world experience.

The project’s impact was further highlighted in the “Success Stories in the Use of European Funds and Horizon Europe Calls” panel, which featured Iwa Stefanik from F6S Innovation. Her participation showed the success of greenSME in securing and effectively utilizing European funding to drive tangible change.

The “Sustainability Pathways in Manufacturing” greenSME final event was a platform for presenting the project’s results, sharing key learnings, and discussing best practices. The conference sparked lively discussions and featured insights from our consortium partners, including Jaione Agirre from Tekniker, Nelli Kononova from Technische Universität Braunschweig, Clara Behrend from TU Dortmund University Marco Mangiantini from Mesap Innovation Cluster,  Luk Palmen from Silesia Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing, and Jon Núñez Barrenechea from AFM Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

A major highlight was the showcase of two sub-projects that are paving the way for a more sustainable future. Paweł Żebrowski from Modino.io presented Atmino, a project designed to advance sustainable manufacturing processes. Following this, Karol Bijos from Envirly by Quantifier introduced IEMTAS, a project that aim to enhance our sustainability and market position by implementing advanced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting. He later participated in a panel discussion, where he also referenced their second Open Call 2 project, G-ERG OC2, which was developed in collaboration with the manufacturing SME ERG S.A.

The two days in Krakow demonstrated the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing the challenges of sustainability. The greenSME conference not only celebrated the project’s accomplishments but also set the stage for continued progress in building a greener future for manufacturing across Europe.

If you missed our event that is not a problem. We streamed it just for you!
